New Shoots Garden Plants has been around for a while. Based in the Waikato we’ve been selling our seedlings locally, slowly expanding to supply gardeners around all of New Zealand. So, we thought it was about time that we launched our very own brand new website.
You’ll still be able to buy seedlings from our shop on The Hive, via Facebook or when we are at a market stall – but as we start to increase our range of seedlings we’ll be able to provide you with updates, gardening tips and the odd special discount to help you grow your garden.
What Will We Get From New Shoots New Website?
Have a look around. Gardening is our passion, and we have to be able to share that with you. We’ll be bringing new seedlings of course, but if you’re a subscriber to our semi-regular New Shoots newsletter or follow the blog you’ll enjoy tips, tricks and maybe even a few of our favourite ways to use up all those excess courgettes.
Why Is My Favourite Plant Out Of Stock?
We grow the seedlings we send to you from seeds or cuttings. While this provides strong plants, it does mean that we prefer to work with plants ideal growing conditions. Yes, hydroponic and hothouses can grow plants at any time of the year, if you are going to be planting your seedling as soon as they arrive, you’ll need to be aware of the ideal temperature.
Experienced gardeners will likely know what grows best locally, but if you’re wanting to try a new plant, or have moved to a new area, growing for the season can help increase the success of your garden.
